🧠Breakups, plot twists, and making the right decision
Your life’s next plot twist will show that everything you walked away from was clearing space for something better.
Reminder: I’m hosting a FREE virtual session on December 2nd to help you create optimism and clarity in your life. I teamed up with Beat Childhood Cancer for it, so it’s a great cause. » Register here «
THREE mindsets to help you reflect, rebel, and reinvent…
1. The breakup was necessary
The breakup was necessary because you were living in their version of the future instead of your own.
It didn’t happen overnight - it started with small compromises. They mentioned moving “in a couple years,” and suddenly you stopped exploring your own opportunities. They said they’d get serious “once life slows down,” and you quietly shaped your choices around a timeline that never stabilized. Your decisions got softer. You stopped bringing up the things that excited you - trips, projects, changes - because you were waiting to see how everything would fit into a future you were building around them.
To understand why the breakup was necessary, you have to look at the kind of person who pulls you into this dynamic. A person who is deeply future-oriented but present-avoidant. Someone who can talk vividly about “one day” but can’t follow through today. Someone who can outline a five-year plan but struggles to reply to a text. Their effort is always postponed, conditional, waiting for the perfect moment.
And that’s why the breakup had to happen. You were adapting, they were avoiding. You were growing, they were imagining. That imbalance always collapses.
The ending wasn’t a failure - it was you stepping out of their hypothetical future and back into your real one.

2. A reminder…
If you’re reading this… it’s because the tables are about to turn in your favor.
Because… it’s your turn. Don’t question it.
The plot twist that’s heading your way will prove that everything you walked away from was clearing space for something infinitely better.
3. You made the right decision… trust that
You made the right decision when you let go of someone you still loved because holding on was breaking your spirit. Trust that.
You made the right decision when you prioritized your happiness for the first time in a long time. Trust that.
You made the right decision when you walked away from people who kept promising change but never followed through. Trust that.
You made the right decision when you stopped letting nostalgia convince you to stay where you didn’t belong. Trust that.
You made the right decision when you chose to be the villain in their story instead of the doormat in yours. Trust that.
