🧠 Rewire your brain

(and attract the life you want)

10/10 recommend being wildly optimistic about what you want in life until it becomes your reality.

MASSIVE SALE » Today my book “The Opposite of Settling” is 50% off on Amazon. If you’re ready for a love that upgrades every aspect of your life, pick up a copy. Thank you for the support!

THREE mindsets to help you reflect, rebel, and reinvent…

1. You can literally rewire your brain to attract the life you want.

Neuroscience shows that the brain doesn’t act on “truth”- it acts on what it believes to be true. You can train your brain to be optimistic - to believe the plot twists are leading you somewhere beautiful.

Optimists make more money, live longer, have better relationships, and make stronger first impressions. What do they all have in common? Language.

» Your brain seeks evidence based on the words you use. Say “I’m stuck” and it searches for walls. Say it “I’m transitioning” and it searches for doors.

» Using future and possibility tenses (“I will,” “it’s possible”) puts your brain in an “anticipatory state” which is linked to greater goal success.

» Self-distancing (“A part of me feels anxious” instead of “I am anxious”) lowers cortisol and significantly reduces rumination.

Optimism. The belief that life is about to reward you louder than it tested you.

If you can write novels about pain, but choose to live poems of hope, please never change.

2. You didn’t deserve what happened to you

At some point in your life, someone hurt you in a way you absolutely did not deserve but instead of questioning them, you questioned yourself. You told yourself you should’ve known better, been quieter, tougher, less trusting.

You didn’t deserve it - period.

You didn’t deserve the silence, the dismissal, the betrayal that came out of nowhere. You didn’t deserve to be made into a placeholder, to carry someone else’s emotional mess, or to shrink yourself to make others comfortable. You weren’t “too much.” You were simply asking the wrong people.

This realization doesn’t erase the past - it puts the responsibility back where it belongs. It frees the version of you who learned to survive through self-blame. And when you finally say, “I didn’t deserve that,” something shifts: you stop choosing people who make your self-worth negotiable, you stop tolerating situations that shrink you, and you stop believing you have to earn basic decency.

3. Just so you know…

YOU are the hot regular at the coffee shop.

I asked around and everyone thinks you’re really cool and funny.

It’s your turn to be loved the way you’ve always loved others.

A major upgrade is coming your way.

You are too full of life to be someone’s maybe when you deserve to be their certainty.

You are proof that you can be beautiful, smart, and talented. At the same time.

You should be insanely proud of yourself for choosing to start over instead of settling for less than you deserve.

Some things I’m excited about…

My first art installation…

As you might know I live in Miami and this week is art week - aka Art Basel. I’m displaying an exhibit I created titled “The Language of Optimism” as part of it. It consists of large canvases and 200+ handwritten pieces. You can view it in-person and come see me speak on Wednesday here.

Closed mouths don’t get fed

I try to take my own advice, so here I go: I’ve set a goal to do at least 50 keynotes next year. I always get so many kind messages about how my in-person MANTRA sessions help you create genuine hope and optimism in your life.

If you’re interested in having me do a keynote for your organization or community, check out this page and reach out. THANK YOU!

That’s it for today. See you next time.
