THREE mindsets to help you reflect, rebel, and reinvent…
1. Your relationship is a mirror
Listen to today’s podcast where I talk about why/how your relationship is a mirror. I talk about what the mirror might show you and what to do with what you see.

2. Take a step back…
Are you too close to see the answer? Is there something you’re so close to in life that you don’t see the way out, the thing you should do, or maybe a more compassionate way to feel?
This might help. I saw a thread on Reddit where someone asked: what is the most helpful thing your therapist has ever said to you? Here was someone’s answer:
“My therapist and I were discussing how I felt about a pretty deep betrayal from my now ex-wife. I was beating myself up for not seeing how bad she really was when there was plenty of evidence.
My therapist wrote down something on his yellow notepad and then held it up right in my face, practically touching my nose. He said, “What’s that say?” I couldn’t read it; it was too close to my face. Stepping back from it a bit, I could read that it said, “You’re too close to see it.” He was right.
I was too close to the problems and the situation to have been able to see it, where in retrospect, it was so obvious. I stopped beating myself up over it and was able to let it go.”
Think about that thing that’s on your mind that you can’t escape or find clarity on. Take a step back. Maybe you’re too close? Try asking yourself: if a friend were to ask you what to do, what would you say?
Sometimes clarity presents itself when you find a way to observe instead of feel, and in this case, the question: “If a friend were to ask you what to do,” might be just the thing you need to take a step back.
3. You are beautiful.
It’s a beautiful thing when someone who's been knocked down gets back up and shines brighter for having been through the darkness.
You have healed your own wounds. You’ve been knocked down, but you got up. You’ve rebuilt trust in yourself after being let down by others. You’ve turned pain into power.
You are living proof that people can endure a lot and not only emerge from it but do so with a light that refuses to be extinguished.
That’s it for today. Until Thursday.
