🧠 Their potential vs. their reality

(how to spot the difference)

mindfulness for rule breakers, free spirits, & inner peace enthusiasts

Here is a mantra I wrote for you: Too busy making my own sunshine to stress about the clouds.

Here are three mindsets to help you stay in your light.

THREE mindsets to help you reflect, rebel, and reinvent…

1. Their potential vs. their reality

Listen to today’s podcast where I talk about how to distinguish between someone’s potential vs. their reality. I talk about several practical examples that illustrate what we want to see vs. what we actually see.

  • Are they a problem or a partner?

  • Why do we prefer potential?

  • Glimpses of love are often all someone has to offer

Listen here.

2. You are a gift.

Most people hide behind facades and play games to protect themselves.

Being your weirdest, realest, and most vibrant self is a rare and beautiful act of courage. When you show up as the most radiant version of yourself, you don't lose anybody - they lose you. When you love fully and without limits, you don't lose anybody - they lose you.

3. Your (good) karma is real.

It's interesting to me how we're all wired to believe in bad karma. Someone cuts you off in traffic, and we expect the universe to serve them a flat tire as cosmic payback. But do you believe in good karma? The universe isn’t just some debt collector… It has a generous heart and a long memory when it comes to acts of kindness.

Good karma comes from loving when you don’t have to, respecting someone who doesn’t deserve it, or supporting someone who has never supported you.

That is good karma. And it’s always amplified such that all the times you were open and eager with others and you kept your hopes up waiting for a call or a text but never got it… it will come back to you and it will be with someone who would never leave you hanging like that.

All the times you took interest in others and showed them respect and love but you were left to feel overlooked, misunderstood, or unworthy… it will come back to you and you be recognized in ways that will make you feel totally at peace and proud of who you are.

Every act of goodness you dish out is a rebellion against a world of indifference, so make this your mantra: “Nothing I do that is well intentioned and kind is ever wasted.”

That’s it for today. Until Monday.
