🧠Please, be unreasonable about your life
(it's your superpower)
Hello, my friend. You know what really excites me about life right now? We can be more than one thing at the same time. We can be a business professional and a raver. An athlete and a poet. A lover and an adventurer. How great is it to realize that life is about balance and we’re always free to add more balance to the equation.
Let’s get into it.

THREE mindsets to help you reflect, rebel, and reinvent…
1. Please, be unreasonable
“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” (George Bernard Shaw)
We have to embrace an unreasonable attitude about life. That’s not a rude, obnoxious, or “know it all” attitude. In fact, it’s the opposite. It’s an “I know very little and therefore I have to try more things” attitude. It’s an attitude that says I have to try for myself, figure out what is true for me, and leave no stone unturned along the way.
To be unreasonable is to be bold about your inner life as challenged through your outer life.
Be unreasonable. Prove what you’re made of. Ask for a raise. Say NO and mean it. Make the first move or care first. Reinvent yourself… again. Say HI to every dog you see. Speak your mind freely. Take a compliment at face value. Call someone (the horror!) instead of texting. Be upfront about what you want. Embrace both your masculine AND feminine side. Go to dinner alone. Change your mind… again. Unfollow anyone who makes you feel less. Love your body as it is today. Stand up for yourself without saying “sorry.” Stop asking for permission. Decide their labels don’t define you. Show others how you expect to be treated. Make eye contact first. Book a solo trip. Remove “good enough” from your vocabulary. Decide your past doesn’t dictate your future. Be unreasonable.
2. Unsure about them?
If you’re feeling unsure about your relationship, listen to today’s episode of New Mindset, Who Dis. It’s all about one single question that can break you free of sitting in the land of potential instead of reality. If you’re honest with yourself, this might be something you need. You’re human you and so you might do the very human thing where you attach yourself to one or two qualities in a person and ignore the rest.
This question breaks you free and gives you clarity.
3. A new version of success
OLD metric of success: Is everything going good? Nothing is upsetting me. The world is assembled perfectly to fit my preferences.
NEW metric of success: How uncomfortable can I get? How many times can I be emotionally unstable, upset, frustrated, and make the decision to bounce back, to be happy, to be unleashed? (Mike Posner)
A lot of people say freedom is success. I certainly think that’s true but I think this REALLY hits the nail on the head. Emotional stability is success. It sounds a lot less sexy, but what a mindset shift that is!
Emotional stability is freedom and inner peace rolled up into one. Emotional stability is choosing inner peace amidst outer turmoil. It’s proving to yourself that you can overcome a lot in life and that getting to this point was not an accident. Your journey here was to show you the power you possess to upgrade yourself each time life tries to pull you down. It was to show you the power you have to be unbothered in a world that wants nothing more than to bother you.
