THREE mindsets to help you reflect, rebel, and reinvent…

1. They make promises, but do they keep them?

Listen to my new podcast episode where I talk about why you need to hold people to the promises they make. I talk about trust as the foundation of any relationship and the warning signs that someone doesn't intend to keep their promises.

  • Trust is the foundation of all relationships. Promises make it real.

  • You should hold them to the promises they make

  • How to know if they intend to keep a promise

2. A reminder of your worth

You are too full of life to put up with someone’s hot-and-cold behavior where one day you’re everything and the next you’re nothing.

Don’t waste your time on people who only look back to make sure you’re still following. Or people who say you’re asking for too much when you ask for clarity and reciprocity... The reality is… those people say that because they don’t want to be exposed for their own lack of enthusiasm and effort.

You are too full of life to be someone’s maybe when you deserve to be their certainty.

3. The power of starting over

Starting over is a sign you're getting closer to what you want, not further from it.

But that's the problem, isn't it? We see starting over as a sign that you're getting further from who you want to be, the partner you deserve, the success you're working for, you name it. We think starting over means moving backwards not forwards.

But it's the opposite. When you've had enough, when you realize you're capable of more or of better and you decide to start over, be that ending a relationship, starting a new job, moving cities, letting go of old friends... you are moving away from what YOU have decided is less than what you deserve... and you're moving toward something better. End of story.

Starting over isn't for the weak. It takes a strong person to start over. Most people would just settle. To start over is to reject the mediocre and to pursue a higher standard because you decided you deserve it. The greatest gift you can give yourself is to start over. It's to say I deserve better than this and to never look back.

Starting over means you're getting closer to what you want, not further from it.

That’s it for today. Until Thursday.
