🧠 Life is short

be delusional about what you want until it becomes your reality.

I think you've earned a season where nothing dramatic happens and everything works out.

PS: If you work for a company/organization and you’re interested in bringing “the language of optimism” to your team, visit this page. I’ve taught the science and soul of optimism for organizations like Nespresso, Meta, Chase, Microsoft, and Mattel and would love to bring it to your company.

THREE mindsets to help you reflect, rebel, and reinvent…

1. The Ask, Expect, Thank Method of Manifestation

The Ask, Expect, Thank Method works with your brain instead of against it. Instead of pretending your future already exists, it teaches your mind to become familiar with it.

Your brain is constantly predicting what comes next. Those predictions influence what you notice, how you interpret setbacks, and how you behave. The expectations you repeatedly reinforce become the lens through which you experience your life.

This method updates those expectations through three simple steps.

Ask. Instead of writing, "I will make $100K," ask, "Will I make $100K?" Research on interrogative self-talk suggests that asking "Will I?" increases intrinsic motivation. Then answer with evidence: "Yes, because..." and list five reasons your future is possible.

Expect. Rewrite your goal as something already unfolding. Instead of, "I hope this works out" write, "This is working out." Expectation changes what your brain begins looking for and attention shapes behavior.

Thank. Finish by expressing gratitude as though you're looking back after everything worked out. “I’m grateful this all worked out.” Future gratitude allows your nervous system to practice relief and possibility before certainty arrives.

The entire exercise takes less than ten minutes.

Ask better questions. Expect good things. Thank the future before it arrives.

2. If you’re one more plot twist away from losing it, read this.

What’s coming next isn’t more tests, it’s more life.

You didn't come this far just for life to give you another reason to be tired.

The thing about long winters is they make you forget spring has always been part of the plan.

The version of life that's been exhausting you is ending. The next twelve months are going to feel nothing like the last twelve.

The universe has run out of ways to test you. No more bad news. No more struggle. No more lessons. Just life giving back more than it took.

You're about to be the hottest, happiest, and wealthiest you've ever been.

3. The Weather App Theory (try this)

Adding a city to your weather app because you're convinced you'll live there one day is the ultimate form of manifestation. It makes your future feel familiar.

It's sunny in Paris. It's 72° in New York. It’s 75° in Rome.

One day, the city in your weather app becomes the city you call home.

Some things I’m excited about…

Chicago!

I’m back in Chicago for the foreseeable future. I’d love to meet great people, speak at amazing events, and make an impact locally. I’m open to introductions and ideas!

Only two options…

Either your delusional optimism is going to pay off or your delusional optimism is going to pay off.

It’s all going to work out

Say it’s all going to work out, even if you don’t know how yet. Your nervous system follows the story you tell it. Words are energy, so speak best case scenarios to yourself until they become your reality.

That’s it for today. See you next time.
