🧠It's all going to work out
(the univerese rewards people who believe this)
Your enthusiasm is not too much. The world has enough people who are cool and detached about everything. Be the person who is genuinely, infectiously excited. It's a gift.
See you soon? My goal is to lead 50 keynotes in 2026 teaching the language of optimism. Last year I led 40+ keynotes for the NFL, Meta, Nespresso, Mattel, and events organized by Nike and Chase. If you’re interested in having me lead a keynote or workshop for your organization/company, see this page.
THREE mindsets to help you reflect, rebel, and reinvent…
1. The universe rewards people like this.
The universe rewards the person who decides it’s all going to work out.
Your nervous system follows the story you tell it. So act and speak like things are working out before they do.
Studies show that belief in your path is one of the strongest predictors of wellbeing. It measurably lowers anxiety, increases resilience, and speeds up recovery from setbacks.
There's no need to rush what’s destined. Breathe. It’s still yours.
Every shift in your path brings you closer to what’s meant for you.
Studies show that people with high "positive expectancy" are more likely to notice opportunities, initiate more conversations, and be more audacious.
The audacity to remain hopeful is a superpower. It will carry you somewhere beautiful.
2. The power of the “generic you”
Psychology shows that sometimes a single word can shape how we process experience - aka how we can turn experience into wisdom.
Psychologists Ethan Kross and Ariana Orvell studied a shift in how people describe hardship. Instead of saying “I,” people often say “you.”
Listen closely:
“When you go through something like that…”
“You realize some things the hard way…”
“You never think it will happen to you…”
They’re talking about themselves, but are using “you.” This is what researchers call “generic you,” and it serves a powerful function: it turns a personal experience into a human one. It does two things at once.
First, it creates distance.
“I” keeps you inside the emotion but “you” steps you slightly outside it. Less reliving, more reflecting.
Second, it creates universality.
Instead of “this happened to me,” it becomes “this is something people go through.”
Compare: “I can’t believe I messed that up.” vs. “When you make a mistake like that, it reminds you how important preparation is.”
Same event. Different mindset. The second turns emotion into insight.
Over time, this is how wisdom forms.
“You don’t realize how strong you are until you have to be.”
“You learn who your real friends are when things fall apart.”
The pain doesn’t disappear, but the frame expands. “I” zooms in.“ You” zooms out.
Sometimes, that’s all it takes to turn pain into wisdom.

3. An affirmation…
Fortunately for you, everything you’ve overcome has made you noticeably brighter, funnier, and more irresistible. Life is done testing you and is about to spoil you.
Some things I’m excited about…
Watch this episode on the power of words
In this episode of New Mindset, Who Dis? I sit down with David Ghiyam to talk about abundance, manifestation, spiritual alignment, and what it really means to trust the timing of your life.
David is the co-founder of MaryRuth Organics and a leading spiritual teacher, known for his teachings on manifestation, energy, and Kabbalah-based principles for living with purpose and abundance.
Double down on your delusional
I think you should be more delusional. That is… you should be completely unreasonable about how good your life is going to get.
Because it works. It trains your brain to expect good things to happen. And life rewards delusional optimists.
First you're delusional, then you’re living the life you always knew was possible.
Let’s work together.
This year I’m focused on doing MORE in-person events, speaking, and workshops. Optimism is amplified in community. If you’re interested in bringing me in to lead one of my “language of optimism” sessions for your company or community, visit this page.
That’s it for today. See you next time.
