🧠Good news is medicine for the soul
(my new podcast)
I just want to help people wake up with hope instead of dread. To believe the plot twist will be good this time. That’s why I’m excited to announce a new project in partnership with Nice News.
It’s a podcast called Nice New Today and it’s all about spreading good news. Join me Mondays and Fridays for 10 minute recaps of all the good things happening in the word.

Good news is medicine for the soul. It reminds your heart that it’s safe to hope.

THREE mindsets to help you reflect, rebel, and reinvent…
1. Have you asked yourself this ONE question?
If I couldn’t compare myself to anyone else, how would I define a good life?
This question is a wrecking ball in the best way. It cuts through the noise, the pressure, and the borrowed blueprints. Most of us don’t realize how often we measure our joy with someone else’s ruler. We chase goals that look good, not ones that feel right. But if we strip away comparison, we’re left with the truth: are we building a life that feels good, or one that just looks good?
A good life isn’t built for applause. It’s built for peace. And peace starts when you stop performing. When you stop saying yes to things that drain you. When you stop living for validation.
Here’s the simple formula I keep coming back to:
1. Aligned Actions
Ask: When do I feel most like myself?
What energizes you, even on your worst days? Do more of that. Even if it doesn’t make sense to anyone else.
2. Subtractions
Ask: What am I doing out of fear, habit, or obligation?
Cut that out. A good life often starts by quitting what doesn’t belong.
3. Values in Action
Don’t just say you value “freedom” or “love.” Ask: What do those actually look like on a Tuesday? Make them habits. What would your calendar looked like if it was built to be in alignment with these values?
Give yourself permission to pivot, to evolve, to say, “Actually, I’ve outgrown that.” You’re allowed to outgrow old dreams. You’re allowed to define success on your terms. A good life isn’t about impressing people who don’t even know you. It’s about feeling aligned when no one’s watching.
So ask yourself: If comparison didn’t exist, what would your good life look like?
(I talk about this topic in episode 711 of the podcast)
2. A note from your future self…
Your future self wants you to know all the waiting, hoping, and healing is worth it. Because everything really does fall into place. Light finds you again. So does peace. So does love.
Your future self wants you to know that this chapter is going to be filled with long overdue upgrades, and being delusional is exactly how you get everything you want.
Your future self wants you to know that you keep getting hotter, happier, and wealthier.
3. On letting go and finding peace…
We all have two lives, and the second begins when you make peace with what didn’t work out because now you know you deserve better.
Real peace doesn’t come from never knowing pain. It comes from refusing to let it write your next chapter.
But that pain points you toward peace, and one day the tables will turn. You’ll wake up to a life so fulfilling, it feels like the universe is thanking you for not giving up.
People will never know the countless battles you fought and won alone to find so much peace within yourself, but please honor the strength it took for you to come out the other side. You chose the peace of healing over the emptiness of staying in a one-sided relationship. You chose what sets your soul on fire instead of what makes sense on paper. That’s strength
What’s next is the life you always wanted, built by the version of you who knows you deserve it.
That’s it for today. Listen to Nice News Today and let me know what you think!
