THREE mindsets to help you reflect, rebel, and reinvent…

1. You are too full of life to not walk away

Listen to today’s podcast where I talk about what “walking away” really means. I talk about the words “away” and “toward” and two specific questions to ask yourself when deciding what to do.

  • Rebranding “walking away” to “walking toward”

  • The two pillars of a healthy relationship

  • TWO questions to ask yourself

2. Struggling to forgive yourself?

What are you hesitant to forgive yourself for?

- Believing in potential with your ex?

- Trying and failing at that business?

- Not standing up for yourself, not asking for more, going back to someone when you shouldn't have?

Those are pretty common things in life that we tend to hang onto and we resist forgiving ourselves and we resist giving ourselves a second chance to get it right. But let’s think about this… what do all those things have in common?

Those were all moments where you trusted yourself.

- You trusted that compatibility was there with your ex.

- You trusted you had what it takes to try that business…

- You trusted that not speaking up, playing it cool, matching energy, going back to that person… was the right decision for YOU…

In that moment you trusted yourself and you acted. Now with hindsight you realize it wasn’t but without much thinking we carry around this guilt and this shame of having gotten something wrong. But let’s hit reset here. We can hang onto weight like that forever if we hold ourselves to a standard of always needing to get things right in life - and if that’s the case… it’s no wonder it’s tough to forgive yourself.

When you're struggling to forgive yourself, you're really struggling to trust yourself again. Forgiving yourself means trusting yourself again.

Can you give yourself another shot at trusting yourself? You. Your ability. Your resilience. That is forgiveness. You deserve to trust that your empathy is always well served. You deserve to trust that your inclination to see the best in others is always well served. Forgiving yourself means trusting yourself again and you deserve to trust yourself.

3. Why are you alive?

The reason you’re alive is to chase dreams that seem crazy to most but feel like destiny to you. It’s to say YES to wild ideas that might just work and change your life. It’s to do what scares you until it doesn’t any more and along the way collect stories so wild, people wonder if they’re made up.

The reason you’re alive is to collect moments that make you laugh so hard, you forget why you’re laughing in the first place. It’s to love yourself so fiercely that the world can’t help but love you back.

The reason you’re alive is not to always know where you’re going, it’s to trust that you’ll end up where you belong.

That’s it for today. Until Monday.
