🧠 Chasing vs. Earning

(one always backfires...)

mindfulness for rule breakers, free spirits, & inner peace enthusiasts

Hello, friend. Let’s get right into it. Here are three mindsets to help you prioritize your happiness.

THREE mindsets to help you reflect, rebel, and reinvent…

1. Fed up?

The best periods of my life always came after a period of getting absolutely fed up with the lack of progress I was making. (DanKoe)

Being fed up with yourself is a good thing. It means you’ve had enough. If means you’ve finally had enough of fitting, enough disappointing yourself, following the crowed, copying and pasting, and waiting for permission. It means a new chapter awaits… if you decide to act.

Let this email serve as a catalyst for you to act:) To reinvent yourself. To be an outlier. To raise your worth. To think and live outside the box. To be the wildcard. To prioritize your true happiness for once.

Remember, you’re writing a story, not serving a life sentence. If you need help, check out That’s Bold of You and The Bold Journal.

2. Men don’t want to chase, they want to earn

I take a strong stance in today’s episode of the podcast. I talk about why men don’t want to chase, they want to earn. I talk about why chasing and “tactics” is all about interest, but earning is all about actions and value. Which would you rather have?

Listen to today’s episode of the podcast to learn why tactics like feigning disinterest or waiting to text is NOT required to tap into a man’s innate drive to “chase.” I talk about:

  • the difference between chasing and earning

  • interest vs. value

  • the reality of chasing and why it always backfires.

3. Stop using the term “settle down”

Does anyone else not like the term "settle down?” That is NOT the purpose of a relationship. Settling down does NOT describe the love you deserve.

The biggest breakthrough I’ve had is seeing the purpose of a relationship as the same as when you’re single - to get more out of life.

We need to stop thinking about life as a "before and after” or like there are two stages of existence: “living your best life” and “settling down into a committed relationship.” The purpose is the same - to get more out of life, but now with someone else by your side.

The right relationship invigorates you and together with a partner you both get MORE out of life, not settled down. You have someone who will push you out of your comfort zone, keep you accountable, and push you to try more, to be more. That means more. How could that mean settling down?

The right relationship amplifies the happiness, character, independence, and sense of adventure you’ve already built for yourself. It doesn't settle it down. It adds to it. The purpose of a relationship is to continue what you've been doing on your own but now together.

With the right person you’re empowered to be wild, free, AND in love. Committed. Together. More together.
