🧠Add more "side quests" to your life
(dive into the joy of living... not routine)
Hello, my friend. I’m excited for Monday! I’m releasing a new 60-day guided journal. I can’t wait for you to journal with me.
Until then, here are three mindsets to inspire you (also, I just released a new episode of New Mindset, Who Dis. Listen here).

THREE mindsets to help you reflect, rebel, and reinvent…
1. Don’t make this mistake
“People are so afraid to make a mistake that they make the biggest mistake of them all: not making mistakes.” (Dan Koe)
Here’s a reminder that life isn’t about being perfect, it's about being so ridiculously passionate that people think you're a little crazy. It’s about making mistakes and reinventing yourself every step of the way.
Life is about turning your quirks into your credentials. It's about being a hot mess of happiness that treats every setback as a plot twist for the better. It's about being the oddball who writes their own story, not the pawn who moves as told. It's about loving yourself so fiercely that the world can't help but love you back.
Life isn't about being perfect it's about taking wrong turns but enjoying the unexpected views. Make more mistakes and get more out of life. It’s the only way.
2. Add more “side quests” to your life
Listen to today’s episode if you feel like your life is passing you by. You turn 20. Blink. 30. Blink 40. This is for you if you want to “slow down time” and dive headfirst into the joy of living… not routine.
This episode is about NOT confining yourself to one narrative. Pick up a new storyline whenever you feel the itch and pursue more SIDE QUESTS.
Embark on a side quest to find a new favorite color. Become a beekeeper, a barista, a magician, a race car driver, a ceramist, or a ballroom dancer. Conquer peaks as a mountaineer, craft stories as a screenwriter, sculpt beauty as a potter, understand the cosmos as an astrophysicist.
The world is an open book waiting for your story to unfold. Life's greatest treasures often lie not in the destination but in the side quests along the way.
On today’s episode:
main quests vs. side quests
how to slow down time.
a life of predictability vs. a life of joy

3. Are they meant to be in your life?
How do you know if someone is meant to be or not? Ask yourself this: is this relationship bringing out the best in me? Or the worst in me?
This is such a powerful question because it re-centers your focus back to you. Away from the noise, the they should do this or be this way, THIS is what a healthy relationship looks like, pressure to be in a relationship by a certain age, and so on… and it brings it back to you.
You - someone who is self aware and you know your good qualities and you know your bad ones.
Are you more anxious around that person? Do you feel like yourself? Do you appreciate yourself more or less? Do you speak honestly and openly or do you find yourself hiding truths, or speaking in half truths? Are you kind and loving or apathetic and closed off?
You can tell the difference because you know yourself.
I can’t think of any scenario where a relationship brings out the worst in you... and it's meant to be. Can you? A relationship that brings out the worst in you? A relationship that makes you feel self conscious or insecure? Where you feel suspicious or desperate? Jealous?
Certainly we should all take time to understand what triggers our not so great traits. Go to therapy. Journal. Understand YOUR role, the responsibility YOU need to take in what might be making the relationship unhealthy, the role you play in needing to examine where your anxiousness or insecurities come from… but at the end of the day, the strongest sign is you. Start there.
You have the answers you seek and a lot of the time they appear in the form of your best qualities or your worst qualities.
Is this relationship bringing out the best in me or the worst?
