🧠A cheat code for manifestation
.... is your language
One day you’ll look at your life and feel in your heart “I’m meant for more than this.” It’s very important to let that launch your next era.
THREE mindsets to help you reflect, rebel, and reinvent…
1. Talk to yourself in third person
… it’s a cheat code for manifestation.
The way you speak to yourself becomes the energy you carry through life. Research shows saying your name instead of “I” creates self-distancing - a mental shift that helps you think bigger, calmer, and clearer.
“Case will figure this out” lands differently in the brain than “I will figure this out.”
Using your name creates distance for the brain to stop spiraling and start seeing options. And when the brain can see clearly, it naturally sees possibility.
Talk to yourself in third person when you’re spiraling. “Case is freaking out, but Case has handled worse before” - self distancing turns down the emotion so you can actually think.
Speak about yourself like someone whose life is working out:
“Case attracts incredible opportunities.”
“Case has overcome this before.”
Speak about your life like something beautiful is unfolding and the evidence will appear.
2. How to get people to say YES to you
If you want someone to say yes… give them permission to say no. It sounds backwards, but research says it works.
In a classic study, French psychologists Nicolas Guéguen and Alexandre Pascual had people ask strangers for money. In one version, they simply asked. In another, they added one line: “But you are free to accept or refuse.” That’s it. No pressure. No persuasion. Just a reminder of choice.
And it worked. Significantly better.
Across 50+ experiments and 19,000+ participants, the result held: the more clearly you gave people freedom, the more likely they were to say yes.
Why? Because of something called psychological reactance. The moment people feel pressured, they push back. Even if they want to help, pressure turns the ask into a battle of autonomy.
But when you remove pressure - when you explicitly honor their choice - there’s less to resist. People stop reacting and start deciding. And if your ask is reasonable, the answer is often yes. So the goal isn’t to corner people. It’s to invite them.
Not:
“I really need this by Thursday.”
But:
“Can you get this to me by Thursday? If not, let me know.”
You can apply this inward, too. We pressure ourselves constantly: You have to. You should. You can’t say no. And then wonder why we resist.
Try this instead: “I’m choosing this. And if it doesn’t align, I can renegotiate.”
Freedom doesn’t reduce follow-through. It creates it. Give people an exit, and watch how often they choose to stay.
3. A mindset…
One day you’ll feel pulled toward a life that’s expensive, expansive, and entirely delusional. It’s very important to know you belong there.
Some things I’m excited about…

Change your vocabulary
❌ "I'll believe it when I see it."
âś… "I'll see it when I believe it."
Belief literally rewires your brain to see doors where other people only see walls.
Let’s work together.
This year I’m focused on doing MORE in-person events, speaking, and workshops. Optimism is amplified in community. If you’re interested in bringing me in to lead one of my “language of optimism” sessions for your company or community, visit this page.
That’s it for today. See you next time.
